Our client, a well-established Wholesaler and Logistics company in Eastbourne is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager with a salary of up to 60k, as part of their post-restructuring efforts to facilitate ongoing team development. Recognising the crucial role played by their IT Team in the company's operations, the organisation places high importance on this function. The new Infrastructure Manager will collaborate closely with the IT Director, overseeing IT systems and providing 3rd Line Support.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Efficiently managing server administration and support across a range of technologies, including VMware/ESXi, Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory Services, and DNS.
2. Strategically improving infrastructure design and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
3. Executing after-hours patch management and routine IT maintenance tasks.
4. Overseeing and maintaining SAN and NAS devices, as well as managing network infrastructure, firewalls, WAN systems (including private circuits and VPNs).
5. Providing comprehensive support for company communication systems, including telephony.
6. Establishing and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for support.
7. Addressing and resolving escalated issues from Support Engineers.
8. Fostering the continuous professional development of the Infrastructure team members.
9. Collaborating closely with the Support and DevOps teams on deployment initiatives.
