Position Description:

Hewitt Banks Renewable Energy has forged a strategic partnership with one of the UK's leading construction consultancies, specializing in diverse sectors including education, healthcare, industrial, transport, retail, and more.

Their sustainability division is actively seeking an accomplished Associate Director to join their team. This pivotal role demands a high level of technical expertise encompassing sustainable reporting, financial management, building oversight, resource management, team leadership, adherence to construction standards, and collaboration with various engineering units.

Additionally, this position has been established to guide the organization's business direction and project portfolio, where your input will be instrumental in determining the future investments of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for achieving Net Zero Carbon, building certification, health, and well-being, among other sustainability goals.

• Collaborate with various engineering units to ensure alignment with project objectives.

• Stay abreast of the latest policies and regulations in the construction industry.

• Shape the organization's project pipeline and contribute to business development efforts.

• Take charge of bid authoring, cash flow forecasting, and client relationship management.

• Mentor and nurture the growth of junior team members.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Sustainability to identify and seize new opportunities.

• Prepare technical reports to communicate findings effectively.

Requirements:

• A robust technical background, ideally with a degree in engineering or a building-related field with a focus on sustainability/energy.

• A minimum of five years of experience working within a UK-based construction consultancy.

• Comprehensive knowledge of current policies and regulations within the construction sector.

• Demonstrated track record in securing new business for a construction-related organization.

• Profound expertise in managing cash flow and bidding for projects.

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams effectively.

• A solid understanding of building physics and related principles.
